ANOTHER 1st. TODAY!!!

Mackenzie has been trying to figure out how to stand up for a couple of weeks now, and today she fianally did it!

About ten minutes after Aaron left for work this morning I noticed that she was sitting next to the couch, and trying to figure it out once again. And then the next thing that I knew, SHE DID IT!!!

After that, I tried to get a video of it all day, but whenever the camera came on, she just wouldn't show off. Then, fianally, a couple of hours ago, I was fianally able to get it!!!

THE STINK BUG WALK!!!

Lately Kenzie has become very mobile! This is her latest way to get from one place to another. It is so cute, and it actually works. She is actually walking! Now if she can just figure out how to do it while standing up streight then she will be set!

YUMMY CARROTS!!!

We have now reached the stage where the doctor says that Kenzie is allowed to start eating baby food! (YAY, we will spend less money on formula!) This picture was taken the first time she tried carrots, and she absolutely loved them!!!

KENZIE CAN CRAWL!!!

OK, so she's not completly crawling on her own, but she is getting places, and the only thing she hasn't figured out yet is how to keep her face up off of the floor when she goes. At least she hasen't goten any carpet burns on her face yet!

DADDY'S GIRL

Mackenzie has been saying " mommy" for a few weeks now, and I could tell that Aaron was starting to feel a little left out.
Well, yesterday I walked into the living room and found him holding hir in his arms and repeating the word "da da" over and over again. It was the cutest thing! Then to my amazment, she said it!!! The only diference is that it comes out "baba"

Now that is all she ever says. From the time Aaron left for work, until the time he comes home, she is calling for "baba" And if she can see him, but his attention is not on her, she calls him until he pays attention. It is just the cutest thing!!!

OUR BUSY DAY

Today has been quite an adventure for the kids and I. Kenzie had a well checkup at the doctor today, and since Aaron had to go to work, I asked Kimber if she would like to take us.
At the docto, we found out that Kenzie now weighs a little over 20 pounds, and is a little over 27 inches long. The doctor told me that she is the size of an avrage one year old! He made a coment that he has decided that I just grow big children. I laughingly told him that I was very well aware of this fact. He then tried to pick Kyle up and said that I must have some pretty big muscles to be able to handle him. I just laughed at this.

After we left the docter, we went to Wendy's for lunch. I decided that this was the least that I could do for Kimber since she changed her days off at work so that she could take me to Kinzie's appointment.

I had mentioned to her that I was thinking of cutting my hair, and she then offered to take me to get it done. I wasn't quite sure how Kyle would act in a hair salon, but he actually was a very good boy in there! My hair is now a couple of inches above my shoulders! This is going to take some getting used to because my hair was very long, and now it's not! I am interested to see Aaron's reaction because he dosen't know that I cut it yet. He knows that I was planning to cut it, sometime after the wedding, but thats it! He will see it when he gets home from work tonight!

We then went to my mom's house and Kyle went swimming in the front yard in a little blowup pool while Kimber tried to get sunburned. He was very mad when it was time to get out, and it took both Kimber and I to get him redressed in his dry clothes because he is a very strong boy, and when he wants to put up a fight, he seems to get even stronger! v

A couple of hours from now, we will go and watch Cling and Alicia open their wedding gifts. I am excited because there will be left over wedding cake and Nacho's there. I plan to eat until I can't eat any more!!!

My Daughter The Fashion Plate!

When I was pregnant with Kyle, my mom's cousin (who happens to ba about twenty years older than me) got the surprise of her life when she found out that she was pregnant for the first time too! She now has a little girl who is about two weeks younger than Kyle named Olivia! And since Olivia is their first and only child, she, and she didn't know anyone else with little girls, she just kept all of the baby clothes in storage.

Well, when she found out that I was pregnant with a little girl, she jumped at the chance to get rid of all the old baby clothes! She alone has given me seven full garbage bags FULL of clothes that are practily brand new!

Then a couple of months after Mackenzie was born, a girl that my mom works with found out that my mom had a new grand daughter, and jumped at the chance to get rid of her baby clothes also!

Then, just a couple of months ago, I got a knock at my door, and opened it to find a friend of mine from our ward who has three little girls, standing there with three garbage bags, and a plastic tote full of baby clothes!

I now have TONS of clothes for Kenzie, and I can't get rid of them because they are all in different sizes, and I am going to need them eventually. So I have them all stored away, and when Mackenzie grows into a new size, I have to get them all out, put the small clothes away, and put the new clothes in he closet. It is great! I have a new wardrobe for her every couple of months since she is growing so fast. The only annoying part is that It is quite a job to change all the clothes around.

Today is one of those days! I have kept her in this size for as long as I can. Today, I will spend washing all of the new clothes, and changing them all out. She now can wear anything from 9-24 months, depending on what it is. I will be so happy when this project is finished!

Our Turn To Go To The Doctor :(

Recently, I wrote about how my siblings always find a way to end up at the doctor or in the ER. Well, today was my turn, TWICE!

As I wrote previously, Mackenzie has had a cold, and well, she decided to share the wealth with mommy. I came down with it the day after I wrote about it, and my ear started hurting really bad, that it woke me up several times last night. So When I woke up this morning, I made an appointment for Kenzie, then it was off to urgent care for me. It was as I suspected. I have an ear infection, and possibly a sinus infection too! So I am now on antibiotics for the next ten days. The surprising thing is that this is the first time that I have really gotten sick since I have had kids. My mom says that she thinks that my lack of sleep lately is a big contributing factor, and I think she is probably right!

We then went to the pediatrician for Kenzie. When her doctor found out that I was sick, he looked her over very well, and determined that hers is just a cold! I was so happy to hear that!

Now I am just trying to prevent Aaron and Kyle form getting sick. We have been drinking a lot of orange juice around here lately, and so far it seams to be working!

!!!!!!!!SHE DID IT!!!!!!!!

Today, we went over to my aunt Amy's house for my cousin Caden's birthday party. My mom had been holding Mackenzie, and decided to lay her down on the floor where she could play for a little while so that we could all eat dinner.
After a few minutes, she started trying to roll over. This didn't surprise me at all because she always does this, but just never quite makes it onto her tummy. I had just finished telling everyone this when SHE DID IT!!!!!!! She finally figured out how to roll over! My little girl is just growing up so fast!

WHAT A DAY!

Oh my goodness, what a day it has been! My younger sister Kimber came over to spend sone time with the kids and I today since her husband was at work, and Aaron was at school. The kids really enjoyed playing with her, and were not very happy when she had to leave.
When It was time for her to go, Kyle stood up to give her a hug and a kiss goodbye, and in the process of standing up, he slipped on a piece of paper that he had been looking at and fell right on Mackenzie's tummy!
Now in most cases, this would not have been a big deal, except in this case, Kyle is a very big boy, and HE WEIGHS A LOT!!!
After it happened, I tried to calm Mackenzie down, but she just wouldn't stop screaming! I tried to call her doctor, but ofcorse they were on their lunch break for another fourty-five minutes! I really didn't want to wait that long, so I ended up having to call the paramedics! They monitered her breathing for a while, and checked a few other things, and said that she would be fine, but that I should call the pediatrition just to make him aware of the situation.
She is doing very well now, but I have to monitor her for the next fourty-eight hours. It was scary , and I am so very thankful that she is alright!!!

Rainy Day Fun!

Things have been very interesting around our house lately. Since Aaron has started school, Kyle doesn't get to see him very much during the week, so I have been trying to find fun things for him to do so that he can stay busy and have fun. Since my sister had today off from work, she and I had planned to take Kyle to the park to play for a while.
Kyle absolutely loves the park! His favorite toys there are the swings, slide, and the little duck that rocks back and forth. He was so excited to go because last night while he was falling asleep, I told him that when he woke up we would get ready and go play at the park. So this morning we were very disappointed when we looked out the window and saw that it was raining outside.
I called Kimber, and she suggested that we take him to Bass Pro Shop so he could see all the animals. So I got the kids bundled up, and Kimber came and picked us up. first we took Kyle to see the fish. they have a giant fish tank that is a wall in the middle of the store and it is filled with tons of huge fish! He absolutely loved it! We then took him into the fine gun room which and several animals in it. He liked it, but I think he was a little nervous to have so many animals staring at him. We then passed a stuffed bear, and Kyle who was holding Kimber's hand at the time scooted as close to her as possible! It was so cute. We then came to these elk, and this was the only place that I could get Kyle to stop so that I could take a picture. ( In case you were wondering, that is Mackenzie in the shopping cart. the picture is a little blurry.)
We then went into the back oficeto visit our aunt Jeri Lyn who is one of our many relatives who work there. She was excited to see the kids because she hasn't seen them in a while! We then went down stairs using a glass elevator that goes right along the fish tank. Kyle didn't like this very much because it looks like you are inside with the fish. Kinber was then nice enough to buy some gummy worms for Kyle, and we then went to Wall Mart because Kimber had another hour before she had to be anywhere, and she didn't want to go home all by herself while David (Her husband) was still at work. After walking around the store for a while, we went to get Kyle some french fries since he had been such a good boy all day!He night nothave gotten to go to the park, but I think he had a lot of fun anyway!
This is Mackenzie all bundled up and ready to go for a ride in the car!

Brown Eyed Girl!

On our wedding day at our lunchon between the wedding and the reception, Aaron's grandma made a requet. She saw how dark my eyes are, and asked me to please give her a brown eyed grandaughter. She told me that since she has dak eyes, she thought for sure that atleast one of her kids would have dark eyes too. None of them do. She the told me that at the time I was her only hope for a brown eyed granddaughter. Well grandma, I think your wish has come true!! Mackenzie's eyes have been changing back and forth between hazel and brown, but they have always stayed dark, and they have stayed brown fora few days now!!

GIRLS DAY OUT!!!!!

Today was so much fun! My brother's fiance Alicia invited us to go look at wedding dresses with her! We first went to the bradal warehouse, but they turned out to be closed because of the bridal expo that is going on this weekend. That was kind of a disapointment, but we were already out, so we decided to go to the mall where there are a few shops that sell wedding dresses! In this picture, my aunt Amy and my sister Kimber are holding Mackenzie while my mom was helping Alicia try on a wedding dress. I took this picture because whenever they go anywhere together, they always take a picture and Alicia & I were the only ones who had cameras with us.

This is a funny story! Kimber & I had an adventure!!! While in the middle of hundreds of wedding dresses, Kenzie's diaper started to leal......A LOT!!! I had no place to change her, so my mom came up with the idea that I could change her in the dressing room. Since I am so shy, I made Kimber come with me so that I wouldn't feel so embarressed! On the way into the fitting room, Kimber grabbed the first dress that she saw so that the lady at the desk would let us into a room. Luckily, she let us choose whatever room we wanted, so we chose the biggest room there. Once inside, we quickly learned that the door was missing a lock, so I held it shut while Kimber spread Mackenzie's blanket on the floor.

We then switched places, and knelt down on the floor as far away from the door as possable so that no one walking by could see what I was doing. I quickly changed her, and soon learned that her jammies were wetter than I had origionally thought.

Luckily I had brought a really warm blanket along. Kimber and I switched places again, and she wrapped Kenzie up wearing nothing but her diaper, while I stuffed everything back in my diaper bag. The whole time we were making comments about how good the dress looked so that people would think that one of us was trying it on.

When we came out of the dressing room, Alicia was wearing this gorgous dress!Ignore the jacket though. She is just wearing that because it is strapless, and will have to alter it if she desides to buy it.

This picture is a little bit better!

Here is a picture of the back of the dress.

Here is Amy holding Mackenzie. We like to joke with her, and tell her that she needs to have another baby. She already has four boys, and the youngest just happens to be about eight months older than Kyle. So we tell her that she needs to have a girl now so Mackenzie can have a friend!

This is me and my AWESOME MOM!!! She didn't really want to have her picture taken, but I talked her into it.

After we left the dress store, we walked over to JCPenny Outlet to buy Kenzie something to wear so that she wouldn't be cold. I hadn't brought any money along because I hadn't planned on buying anything, so Kimber was nice enough to lend me the noney! (Thanks Kimber!!!)

We then drove to Dillards to look at some ideas for brides maids dresses, but they didn't really have anything that was moddest enough. After that, we drove over to a store where Alicia could get the stuff that she wanted for her wedding announcements. But once we pulled into the parking lot, we learned that they had closed an hour earlier.

This is my sister Kimber being her usual AMAZING self! Since we wern't really able to get much accomplished, we decided to go to lunch at Mata's!!!! Amy was nice enough to by me lunch!!!(Thanks Amy!!!) This picture was taken while waiting for our food to come. The day wasn't a total waste though. Mackenzie got a cute new outfit out of the deal!

Here she is at home in her new outfit! When we got home, she was hungry so I made her a bottle. The next thing I knew, she was holding it up all by herself for the very first time!!!!!

Mackenzie & I had a really fun time, and I hope that we can do it again really soon!!!!!

Kimber was not very happy with me because she had come to the hospital straight from work and stayed over night, and MANY hours after in hopes that I would have the baby before she had to go back to work. Well, the time came that she had to go back, so she left. I ended up giving birth about an hour later, and she was stuck at work so she didn't get to meet her until about midnight that night!

This is a fun tradition on my mom's side of the family! Every year on the day before Easter, we all get together and eat a hugr lunch together, have an egg hunt for the kids, and then we have an egg toss. This is done by everyone choosing a partner, and then standing across from them. We then toss raw eggs back and forth taking a step backward between each toss. The team that gets the farthest apart wins! It can get kinda messy, but it os oh so much fun!!
